The Central Tri-State is the most heavily traveled corridor on the Illinois Tollway’s system, with average traffic ranging from 120,000 to 185,000 vehicles per day.

Its improvement must be carefully planned and executed to minimize impacts to customers as well as to the toll revenue stream it provides.
