the Jane Byrne ‘Circle’ Interchange

The Future of Infrastructure

Currently under construction, the Jane Byrne ‘Circle’ Interchange project for the Illinois Department of Transportation will relieve the slowest, most congested highway freight bottleneck in the nation while improving traffic safety.

The Circle Interchange serves as the western gateway into downtown Chicago, linking the city’s three major interstate highways: the southern Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90-I-94), the western Eisenhower Expressway (I-90), and the northern Kennedy Expressway (I-90/I-94). AECOM led Phase I, environmental and planning service, and Phase II, design services, and is now the Construction Manager for this US$575 million project.
