As the lead firm in the PL2 CM Partners joint venture which also includes three small  businesses, AECOM is providing a full range of technical and administrative construction management support services for Section 2 of the Purple Line Extension. This US$1.37 billion design-build project extends the Purple Line heavy rail subway from the Wilshire/La Cienega Station to a new Century City/Constellation Station.

Section 2 covers 2.55 miles, and includes two new stations: Wilshire/Rodeo and Century City/Constellation. Work by other contractors includes advanced utility relocations and demolition of buildings along the alignment. The total cost of Section 2 is estimated at US$2 billion. A future Section 3 will extend the Purple Line to a new terminus near the Veterans Affairs Hospital site in Westwood.
