Union Station Second Platform and Front Street Revitalization

The Future of Infrastructure

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) Union Subway Station and Front Street Revitalization project improved a critical node in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) transit network and the most used transit system interface point in Canada. This major construction project was completed on time for the Pan Am games in 2015, while approximately 200,000 passengers continued to use the station each day. Union Station is also an integral part of the waterfront revitalization initiative.

Supporting the overall Union Station revitalization and expansion program, AECOM has also carried out several expansion projects on the rail corridor connected to this station, including the Union Station Rail Corridor (USRC) East and West Expansion, and the Lakeshore East Expansion project.
